How does the club raise money? The Lawnton-Oakleigh Lions Club generally holds two fund raisers each year: the annual doubles bowling tournament held at ABC East Lanes, Eisenhower Blvd., and the annual oldies dance featuring Rich Claire's PENTAGON which is held at the I.W.Able Hall, Gibson St., Steelton, PA.

What community activities does the club support? Each year the Board of Directors approve financial contributions to various local community, District 14T and International Lions Club projects. At the local community level we support boys and girls athletic and scouting organizations, college scholarships, various high school and elementary school programs and awards, the Lawnton Fire Company, a community Easter egg hunt, and eye examinations and glasses for the needy. At the district and international level, the club financially supports such projects as, the Central PA Eye Bank, Leader Dogs for the Blind, the Lions International Foundation, and various health and sight conservation related programs.

How can I find more information about the club and the benefits of membership?  Contact our Membership Director or any officer/member listed on this web page.
