A note about ownership: As you progress and peruse my website (and any other site created in the USA), you may find things that you like, whether they are images, sounds , videos or text.  Anything that someone creates in the United States is protected from time of creation by a thing called copyright.  This law says that the creator owns the rights to the thing they create and others cannot legally copy it without their consent.  With that said, if you like something on my website and want to copy it, all you have to do is ask.  If you don't have permission, it is illegal for you to copy it.

Lisburn Cave, York County, PA

On November 25th, 2001, Dale Ibberson lead a trip to Lisburn Cave which changed ownership earlier in the year.  Our goal was to videotape and photograph the cave so that the new owners could get a sense for what the cave on their property is like.  They opted not to enter the cave with us but did include an invitation to some young people they know.

There were four grotto members and three guests of the owners who went into the cave.  From the York Grotto was Dale, myself, Kevin Dunleavy and Craig Anderson.  Dale ran the video camera and I took photos.

Lisburn cave is a small cave with few formations but it does provide two different types of passage, low crawl and lower crawl.  There are essentially three areas where you can sit up and all three of those places are rooms next to each other about 150 feet into the cave.
