Professional DJ Entertainment:  I Love it!  For more details, click here.

Caving:  This sport is also called spelunking.  Except for volleyball, it's probably the sport that I spend the most time doing.  It is very exciting to see beauty of nature and overcome physical and mental challenges presented in underground passageways and caverns.  See many of my adventures here.

Rappelling: This is fun and interesting but caving really beats rappelling!  I started rappelling to get more acclimated with being on rope, tying in, anchoring, etc. so that situations in caves would be easier to handle.  Here are some photos from a visit to Chicki's Rock near Columbia, PA.

Rafting: After about 14 rafting trips now, I'm not inclined to run the weenie rivers anymore.  A recent rafting trip was to the world class upper Gauley River in West Virginia.  Rafting trips have been scheduled once or twice a year, typically in the spring and fall.

April, 1999: Trip to the Upper Youghiogheny River in Maryland

April 7, 2000: Trip to the Lower New River in West Virginia

Oct 3, 2000: Rafting on the upper Gauley River

April, 2001: Adventure trip to WV's New River

Hiking: In preparation for the length of time we were planning on spending in Norman/Bone Cave, Chad and I hiked a few times at some very challenging locations.  Click here for a few photos from the Appalachian Trail.

Volleyball:  John Myers, Barry Barkley, Keith Baker and I played on a 4 man sand league over the 2000 summer at City Island.  We didn't place during the playoff tournament but did finish the regular season in second place.  We were pleased but were also disappointed about the playoffs.  We were eliminated by a few very close games... I think it ended up that our last match was best of three with us winning the first game, them narrowly winning the second game and they won the third game by two points at something like 14 to 12.  (Games were to 11 points.)

I love to play competitive volleyball.  Here you see me pictured playing doubles but my favorite is triples.  Most summers, I play quads through a league.   Sometimes we can arrange enough people to play in the winter indoor league too.

Downhill Skiing:  I enjoy skiing at larger resorts such as Camelback (partly due to it's close proximity to my friend Bill Hunter's house) and when I have the time, Killington and Mount Snow.  I try to get to Vermont once per year but last year was an exception.  We enjoy having others along on our trips.  We generally ski the most difficult slopes at the resort but occasionally move down for variety and to get the lifts.   E-mail me about skiing.

NEW: Elk Mountain trip - February, 2002

Motorcycling:

Although I don't currently own a motorcycle, here is a picture of my first licensed motorcycle for the streets.  I had this Moto Guzzi Lemans for 6 or 7 years and had a lot of fun and good times with it.  I also had a lot of times that I wish it had been stolen.  The problems I had did get worked out before it was sold.

Roller Coasters: Janey and I both enjoy riding roller coasters.  We enjoy multiple trips per season to ride wooden and steel coasters at various parks including Cedar Point, Busch Gardens, Disney World, Six Flags Great Adventure, Hershey Park, Kings Island and Kennywood.
