Our Canine Kids Do It All!

Mirage, by LandMarc Photography

Our oldest is Chinese Shar-Pei U-CD, U-ACH Pai Gei's Mirage of WudaFace CD, CD-H, NA, OAP, AJP, RA, VSPX, CGC, TDI (Mirage). He came to live with Darin and his mom Wendy when he was a puppy. Their hope was to show him in conformation, earn a Championship and produce wonderful puppies. Instead he has become one of the country's most successful performance Shar-Pei and only the second in breed history to earn a UKC Agility Championship. He has titles in AKC agility, UKC and AKC obedience, AKC rally obedience, and public service!

Our daddy English Cocker Spaniel is Champion U-ACHX U-CDX Pennwood Gwynllyn Great Xpectations CD, CDX-H, OA, OAJ, AXP, AJP, RA, JH, SH, WDX, CGC, TDI (Pip). He came to live with us at 3 years old after his breeders, Lauren Sorrentino and Carol Collins, finished his AKC conformation Championship. Since then he has earned 3 hunting titles, 2 obedience, 2 rally and 12 agility titles. He is currently training for tracking to get ready for the 2009 English Cocker Spaniel Nationals in Ohio.

Pip's son, Joe

Pip's first litter of Engie puppies was born June 26, 2006. The momma is a pretty orange roan Engie girl named Valley Hill Keystone Katie (Kate) owned by William Pochiluk. Here, in a photo by Claire Podlaseck, is Pip's son, ValleyHill When the Nite Comes CGC, TDI (Joe) having an absolute blast in the field. Joe is already taking classes to establish a foundation for future competition in obedience, agility, field, and conformation. He has already taken his first point in Conformation at the Lackawanna Kennel Club show under judge Desmond J. Murphy, and took second place in the American Bred class at the 2008 ECSCA National Specialty. We think he looks like a good prospect to follow in his father's paw steps.

Patty, Darin and kids

WudaFace is dedicated to raising healthy, well adjusted Chinese Shar-Pei and English Cocker Spaniels that are true to the written CSP standard adopted by the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America and the written ECS standard as written by the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America respectively. These standards are approved by the American Kennel Club. We are also extremely active in promoting responsible dog ownership through community education and legislative activism. We are members of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America, the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America, the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association, the Harrisburg (PA) Kennel Club, the Southeast Keystone Chinese Shar-Pei Club, the Liberty English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers and the Obedience Training Class of Harrisburg (OTCH) which is a United Kennel Club (UKC) licensed organization.

In June 2001, WudaFace Shar-Pei under went some major changes! Darin married a wonderful lady named Patty who owned two English Springer Spaniels (right). Darin moved with some of the Shar-Pei to Patty's home in Camp Hill. In February 2003, English Cocker Spaniel Pip came to live with them and in September 2006 his some joined them too. So now WudaFace Shar-Pei is better known as WudaFace Kennels.

This does not mean that WudaFace will not have any more Chinese Shar-Pei pups. Pat and Darin will let their new blended family get used to one another, and then we shall see. Also, Darin's mom Wendy, who has always been a big part of WudaFace Shar-Pei, is keeping Chris with her, and may have some puppies of her own down the line. Their photo here is by Terry Rowe of Rowe Pet Art.

WudaFace Kennels Offers...

Chris

Here is our Ch. WudaFace Sound of Music (Chris) taking points towards his Championship at the Harrisburg Kennel Club's summer 1999 show. He is the grandson of our Ch. WudaFace Unchained Melody. Chris took points at the Bryn Mawr, Bald Eagle, Harrisburg, Mid-Susquehanna Valley, Back Mountain KC and Leatherstocking Cluster shows on the way to his Championship. He now lives with his daughter Molly in York PA with Darin's mom, Wendy. Look for our red-fawn brushcoat Shar-Pei, Mirage, in obedience and agility trials along with our English Springer Spaniel female, Roxie, and English Cocker Spaniel male, Pip. Pip's son Joe is trying his luck in conformation and will soon be entering the performance ranks too. Our elder English Springer Spaniel, Bailey, is retired now and rides along to watch his younger companions run. Read more about each of them. Also, read the stories of some of our puppies with other families.
