We feed Verus (Lamb & Oats) to our adults between 6 months and 6 years of age. We feed Verus Puppy formula from 1 month to 6 months. For any Shar-Pei who shows signs of amyloidosis or who is over 6 years old, we feed Verus Senior formula. In our opinion, feed Shar-Pei puppies a high quality food containing no soy with a protein level of between 26% and 22%. Active adult Shar-Pei should have a no-soy food with no more than 22% protein. Shar-Pei over six years old or who have shown signs of amyloidosis should be fed a non-soy food with about 16% protein.
